| Minor-Sakaki Piano Duo Minor-Sakaki Piano Duo was formed in 2002 and has been known for its colorful, sensitive yet dynamic playing. The tasteful selections of the programs also contribute to their popularity. The duo has been active in NY area and is expected to debut in Japan in February, 2007. |

| Carol Minor - Pianist Carol Minor received a Master of Music degree from the State University of New York at Purchase and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Hartt School (University of Hartford), both with in piano performance. She has presented concerts and lectures throughout the Northeast, specializing in contemporary music and the works of women composers. She collaborates frequently with pianist Yayoi Sakaki in performances of the two piano and duet repertoire. Her principal teachers have been Marc Silverman, Diane Walsh, Margreet Francis and Adrian Daly. Ms. Minor has studied chamber music with the Emerson String Quartet and harpsichord with Anthony Newman. She has been coached by Claude Frank, Lilian Kallir, Ursula Oppens and Jerome Lowenthal. She attended both the Aria International Summer Academy in London, Ontario and the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival. Ms. Minor has been a faculty member at the Hartwick College Summer Music Festival, New England Music Camp, Rockland Conservatory and Church Street School for Music and Art. She currently teaches at the Music School of Westchester and serves as resident musicologist for the Artemis Chamber Ensemble. She is also a contributor to the Contemporary music website Sequenza 21. In 2006, Ms. Minor took part in the Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice at New England Conservatory in Boston. Away from the piano, Ms. Minor enjoys learning foreign languages, listening to live jazz and watching figure skating, a sport she participated in competitively for nearly a decade.
